Kyle Petty wants Dale Earnhardt Jr. to win a race during TNT?s six-race broadcast schedule.
Nothing unusual about that. Everybody wants Earnhardt Jr. to win, since he comes from racing royalty and reigns as the sport?s most popular driver despite being out of victory lane for three years.
The difference this time, as TNT analyst Petty prepares to start TNT?s schedule Sunday at Pocono, is that he believes Earnhardt Jr. can win. Earnhardt Jr.?s near-misses at Charlotte and Kansas and hovering near the top of the points standings for much of the current season have convinced Petty.
