Junior Johnson last won a NASCAR Cup race as a team owner in the 1994 Southern 500 at Darlington with driver Bill Elliott. He last owned a Cup car in 1995.
Now the NASCAR Hall of famer appears to at least be putting the pieces together that could lead him back into the series.
