Dale Earnhardt Jr. has confidence for Daytona 500 after brief Budweiser Shootout performance
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. ? Dale Earnhardt Jr. didn?t finish the Budweiser Shootout, but he left Daytona International Speedway on Saturday night with some confidence. The Hendrick Motorsports driver got collected in an accident on lap 28 of the 75-lap exhibition race as Carl Edwards tried to squeeze between Earnhardt Jr. and Regan Smith, but Smith and Edwards had contact and then Edwards tapped Earnhardt Jr., spending both of them spinning.
