DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. ? Dale Earnhardt Jr. paced the first Sprint Cup practice of the season Friday, leading practice for Saturday?s exhibition Budweiser Shootout.
Earnhardt Jr., who has a new crew chief in Steve Letarte, turned a lap of 199.862 mph as teams engaged in heavy drafting on the newly repaved Daytona International Speedway.
